When you elected me Mayor in 2014 our community told us what was important to you. This is exactly why I proudly represent our vision which drives our plan for the future pathway of Caledon. We’ve listened and worked hard and over 80 per cent of the Council priorities are either completed or in progress.

On October 22nd, I am asking for your vote to continue the good work we’ve done in creating a connected, sustainable and affordable “community of communities” and to continue to stand up for Caledon.

Broadband | Connecting Caledon

  • Completion of the expansion of public Wi Fi access at all Town of Caledon facilities

  • Completion of design work and construction has begun on the main lines that will bring affordable, reliable high speed Internet to every corner of Caledon

Community Engagement and Customer Service

  • Brought our Council out into our communities to get your feedback with the twice-yearly Coffee With Council sessions

  • Developed a first point-of-contact, concierge-style culture at our Town Hall

  • Expansion of E-services and the mobile Pingstreet app

  • Completion of the Recreation Master Plan

  • Renewed focus on our recreational facilities, including the SouthField Village Recreation Centre (new build), the renovation of the Mayfield Recreation Centre, and new partnerships to build a new track and field facility at Humberview Secondary School

  • Expansion of the Seniors Centre, Rotary Place in Bolton

Growth and Protection of Rural Environment

  • Lobbied the Province for greater local planning control or authority. Caledon should plan Caledon.

  • Worked with the development community to build transitional and Seniors housing

  • Balancing our growth to preserve our rural character and natural heritage while creating livable communities

  • Worked with the development community to build transitional and Seniors housing

Seniors | Youth | Business

  • Focusing on youth, seniors, businesses and growing our local economy, we introduced annual opportunities to reach these demographics to actively engage them in our discussions and decision making with our Annual Mayor’s Youth Summit, the Annual Seniors’ Forum and the semi-Annual Mayor’s Business Forum.

  • Developing a plan to turn the old firehall in Bolton into a community collaboration hub, a place for small business entrepreneurs and residents to connect and innovate

Caledon is an incredible place with brilliant landscapes, unique villages and hamlets, a proud history and a bright future. The best thing about Caledon are the residents and businesses who care and contribute. You have demonstrated that commitment to your community which is why I will continue to listen, understand and act in the best interests of ALL of YOU!
